Traffic - RIISS00062 - Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set for Motorways and Freeways

Prerequisite

To be eligible to enrol in this training course you must have successfully completed a course in: - RIISS00060 - Traffic Management Implementer - Urban Streets and Low Volume Rural Roads (TMI1)

-You must also have at least three months experience applying skills and knowledge relevant to the above-mentioned skill set in a temporary traffic management workplace; and -Provide evidence of relevant experience setting up at least 12 temporary traffic management types including high speed roads or high-volume roads, and at least two of the following types: - pedestrian and cyclist controls - construction sites - lane closures - shoulder closures - night works - use of portable traffic control devices

Coursework and Assessment

This course is a competency-based training program. You will be assessed via a combination of multiple choice questions, written response assessments, incident reporting, verbal questioning and practical skills demonstration and assessment.

Certification

After completing your in class training and assessment, you will be required to undertake a post course practical assessment before you can be awarded with a Statement of Attainment (SOA) for TMI3 RIISS00062 - Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set for Motorways and Freeways.

Pathways

These units provide credit towards several Certificate II and Certificate III qualifications in the RII Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package and other training packages, such as RII30920 Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent.

Localised Content

As part of your TTM training, you will also need to undertake state specific course content to be able to work in the Industry. This localised content covers additional guidelines and regulations that are specific to the State you are working in. If you decide to move interstate you will need to complete an additional localised content course in order for your training to be valid.

After completing this localised training component you will receive a Statement of Completion to prove you have the skills and knowledge required to work in the jurisdiction.
